Zaap Thai Sheffield – Case Study

Zaap Thai Sheffield – Case Study

Sukho Group’s popular Thai-inspired, casual dining chain Zaap Thai opened another location in Sheffield this year. The new branch on Eccleshall Road is the brand’s sixth restaurant, joining the other Northern sites of Leeds, Nottingham, York, Headingley and Newcastle. Zaap’s first branch in Leeds opened back in 2015 and has proved massively popular over the years. Sukho Group has opened six Zaap Thai sites in seven years. The brand also hopes to open another two to three more branches in this next coming year; venturing further south after heavily focussing on Northern expansion over the years.

Like the brand’s other restaurants, the interior of the new location pays homage to Bangkok and aspects of Thai culture. Interior designers Inspire Design Consultancy were brought on board by Sukho Group’s Operations Director, Chris Hammond, to create the image they had in mind.

The restaurant showcases ‘Thai-inspired graffiti’, tuk tuk seating booths, neon lighting, and an open kitchen lined with Thai hawker carts. Zaap offers a range of food, serving over 80 Thai-inspired dishes, including a range of plant-based food and a selection of drinks. Servaclean designed, manufactured and installed the bar for Sheffield as well as most of the chain’s other locations too.  Servaclean also supplied refrigeration/bottle cooler units to several locations too.

Neil Allitt, Servaclean’s Sales Director ensured that the process from design through to install ran smoothly on all these projects and that Sukho’s owner, Chris Hammond, was 100% satisfied with the results.
