Ceilidh Place Upgrades with Servaclean BARFrame Bar

One of Ullapool’s most iconic venues Ceilidh Place saw a refit of their bar earlier this month after proprietor Jock Urquhart and his team installed our Bar Counter Building System themselves on site.

Ceilidh Place in Ullapool grew out of Broomview Cottage and was opened in 1970 by the actor Robert Urquhart, who was born there in 1921. The site has accommodation, a bookshop, art gallery, is available for weddings and now has a Servaclean bar.

We supplied the venue with our BARFrame Structure & Fitments, together with easy-to-follow ‘Product Indentifier & Assembly Installations’ – something which Mr Urquhart was very complimentary of:

“Thank you so much for your help and knowledge over the past few months, it’s been invaluable and now that the Servaclean BARFrame is in place, I’m really delighted.
It’s good, robust material and was surprisingly easy for me to put together. The packaging was all really clear and even a novice like me managed no bother!”

The new layout meets all environmental health requirements whilst maintaining the traditional Scottish bar feel loved by the regulars.

“We opened up on schedule on Friday morning and have spent the weekend getting to grips with our new space and working out all the little ‘workflows’ and where all the bits and pieces go. We’ve got a good amount of storage behind the new servery/bar so it’s all coming together very nicely. We’ve had a good few long standing regulars who are really pleased that ‘it feels like it’s always been there’ – which is good because I’d have hated to put something in place that really didn’t marry with the existing feel of the space.”
